It will bless your heart, as it did mine, when you read about Maria's Big House of Hope, dedicated in memory of Steven Curtis Chapman's daughter who was taken from the family in a tragic car accident. Read the family blogs at stevencurtischapman.com to see how God is bringing a blessing out of a great sorrow. The pictures speak a thousand words!
Also, Steven will be singing in Indianapolis this weekend for the Women of Faith Conference!
The Broadcast Freedom Act of 2009 was re-introduced in both the House and Senate yesterday. Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) first introduced the bill in 2007 along with Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR). It is the bill aimed at stopping any re-establishment of the Fairness Doctrine. Senate sponsor Jim DeMint (R-SC) says the Act "would keep radio airwaves free from government censorship and suppression." DeMint's co-sponsor is Sen. John Thune (R-SD). The bill has 24 co-sponsors on the Senate side and more than 110 in the House. This bill has the National Religious Broadcasters' full support.
